Kindness. The one word that should be in every sentence that anyone speaks. But yet, we barely hear the word. Why is that? The answer is our society. We live in a world that is based on all the bad things that are happening. Another mass shooting, another scandal, another disaster, and another fight happening overseas.
I love it when you watch the news the last segment is always about something good happening in the world. But what about the other 8-10 segments they show in those 30 minutes. I applaud every single person who spreads kindness. You never know who you touch.
I went to work two weeks ago and at my job, the guest always comes first. When I am work I have a tendency to always be happier than I am in real life, but how does that work? I could have the worst day yet serving people in my community makes me so much happier, because kindness is contagious. One of my coworkers told me that I was their favorite person because I was always so happy and vibrant. She will never know how much that means to me.
When my great-grandmother died I still went to work that day to get my mind off things. I was really upset about my granny dying but all of my coworkers cheered me up and made me laugh/smile. Kindness matters.
There is this new girl who joined my school this year. She sits with us at lunch every day and is so nice and so sweet to all of us. I was so glad we became friends because she really is beautiful inside and out, however, I never knew the influence I would have on her! Kindness matters.
The moral of the story is that we can spread kindness so easily. Instead of spreading rumors or listening to the bad things in life, we can focus on the good.
I believe there is good and so much kindness in every single person.
