How the founder and creator of Jumbled Dreams chose to help in the month of January.
“Like Mother, Like Daughter” is a very popular saying that has been used for decades. In January, Sydnee and her mother were just getting into their car after grocery shopping. They were talking and getting ready to leave when a mom and daughter approached the car. The mother, in a light coat and pants, with a young daughter, held up a sign that said, “Mother of two, hungry, will work, and God Bless.” Immediately Sydnee and her mom knew they had to help her.
“We could not just say, “No”. “I couldn’t live with myself if I left and we didn’t help them,” said Sydnee
“We donated a gift card to McDonald’s and a few dollars so the mother could feed her family for a few nights.”
