May Partner of the Month- Stitches by Charlotte

Charlotte was born with a cleft lip and palate and had to have multiple surgeries when she was younger. When she was in the hospital everyone was so nice to her, and she received toys to make her feel comfortable. So now, with her new smile, she wants to make other kids happy by making dolls for them!

Now 10 years old, Charlotte sews each doll HERSELF! Isn’t that amazing? She delivers the dolls to the hospitals, if possible, and even the parents feel comforted! Each doll is sewn with lots of love and individually made and tailored to be a spin-off of the recipient with similar traits (hair color, eye color, clothing styles, etc.).

Charlotte lives by the Chinese Proverb, “Use your smile to change the world; don’t let the world change your smile.”

During COVID-19, Charlotte has been hand sewing masks for our healthcare hero’s. Each mask is sewn from fabric that she uses for the dolls. She also has made dolls that look like the nurses so they have a matching companion!

Charlotte is someone that we all aspire to be! We are so glad to have her as part of the jumbled dreams family!
