Positively Inspiring Change- Guest Post: Sarah McGough

Hi I’m Sarah McGough and I’m the founder of the Positive Change Project! I am from New Jersey but I go to school in Connecticut. My favorite pastimes include singing, baking, and doing community service.

My project focuses on spreading kindness, smiles, and positivity to those who need it most! The main part of my project is making bookmarks for people who are in need of a smile. The bookmarks are designed on a form online, on our website www.positivechangeproject.net , then the bookmarks are made by myself, and sent to people in need of a smile!

I started this project in early June after witnessing many acts of unkindness. I have always been called to helping others, and I thought that putting a smile on someone’s face is one of the best ways to help someone, especially with everything going on in the world. I was inspired by watching  people my age making a difference in their community. I was also inspired by Sofia Carson, who is one of my biggest role models. Sofia does a lot of work to help others through UNICEF, and during quarantine, she created a movement called “Spread Hope With Sofia”. Her movement made me think about how I could spread hope and make a difference!

If you want to spread a smile, please check out our website www.positivechangeproject.net ! All you need to do is fill out the form to design a bookmark! Our website also collects and posts ideas for random acts of kindness, so please feel free to check that out, or submit your own act of kindness!

It’s really amazing how much of a difference one act of kindness can make in someone’s life! Being kind is easy and totally worth it!

If you want more information about the project please feel free to email [email protected] !
