Giving Back for the Holidays

One of our partners, asked us to help them to distribute several thousand toys to needy children in the Nashville area for Christmas.  There are many, so it was a difficult task.  After a careful review of over 20 organizations, the toys were given to the Nashville Eighteenth Family Enrichment Center, the Franklin Police Department, and the Nashville Rescue Mission

“Eighteenth Avenue Family Enrichment Center, founded in 1934, is a neighborhood agency serving individuals and families. The mission is to positively impact the quality of life for children and families, primarily in North Nashville, by responding to the needs of the community through center-based and outreach programs. In addition to a variety of services and programs, Eighteenth Avenue provides a Day Care Center with full day care for 75 preschoolers and before- and after-school and summer care for children up to 12 years of age.”

The Franklin Police Department is located in downtown Franklin and serves the needs of the city. The toys given to the local police will be passed out by the police to needy children the city.

The Nashville Rescue Mission will give the toys it received to approximately 100 children who are a part of the Mission’s work.  We were told that they normally have around 300 children but this year there are only 100 due to Covid.
